If you have a few hours of free-time throughout the month and a passion for helping others, consider becoming a Consultant for ImmiGreatness

*Disclaimer: This is a voluntary position.

Consultant

Our Consultants are the first point of contact for members. Consultants are assigned anywhere between 1-5 members to communicate with on a monthly basis and provide support to.

Who

Open to anyone aged 21+ who is either an immigrant or comes from an immigrant family. Although fluency in another language is not required, it is a great skill to have for the position.

Where

Location is flexible. Consultants can be local to Grand Rapids, MI or operate remotely from anywhere in the U.S. Meetings will be held remotely on Zoom, unless another method of communication is agreed upon between members and Consultants.

When

1 mandatory 30 minute meeting per month, per member. (i.e. if you are assigned 3 members, you'd have at least 3 meetings per month). Members may request more time with a consultant outside of the requirement; anything outside of the required amount is up to the discretion of the Consultant.

What

Consultants will act as a resource for members by maintaining communication and forming long-lasting relationships. The purpose is to share their experiences and the knowledge they've accumulated overtime with members who may be struggling or would like additional guidance as it pertains to education, careers, or life in general. Consultants should have an area of speciality - a subject they hold a degree in, a skill from a job they've worked, etc. For example, someone who has worked in banks or graduated with a degree in Finance may be able to help members specifically with financial matters.
